Tulsa, OK – January 15, 2014 – ICEdot is please to announce its latest features associated with the Crash Sensor app – text to track and manual call for help. The features were developed based on early consumer feedback.
Test to track allows a user to enable 2 levels of tracking, emergency contacts only and anyone with their PIN. To track the ICEdot user, a text message containing the word “track” followed by the PIN number of the person to track will prompt a return text message with the current location and route of ICEdot user. Chris Zenthoefer, CEO of ICEdot commented “This feature was developed for my wife, I’m always 30 minutes late on my rides and she’s not a cyclist who cares to use apps with bike lingo, she just want to know where I am and if she can expect me soon.” Users can turn off tracking features to lengthen phone battery life.
The manual call for help feature allows an injured rider to push a button on the main screen of the app to send out their GPS coordinate and a call for help to their emergency contacts.
ICEdot continues to innovate for personal safety for action sports enthusiasts based on real world experience by its team and its customers.
